Anushka Sharma made her Bollywood debut in 2008 as Shah Rukh Khan’s leading lady in Aditya Chopra’s “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”.
She was born and educated in Bangalore and groomed for stardom by style consultant Prasad Bidappa. Designer Wendell Rodricks gave her a break in the world of modeling by featuring her as his show-stopper in the Lakme Fashion Week and she went on to become a top model.
The Elite Modelling Agency sent her pictures to Aditya Chopra’s casting directors which led to her signing a three-movie contract with Yash Raj Films.
