Farah Khan's jewellery has B'wood cheering

Deepika Padukone walked the ramp for the India-inspired 'Adaayein' line

It was designer Farah Khan's first India-inspired collection and a large number of Bollywood celebrities cheered for her at the ongoing India International Jewellery Week (IIJW).

While Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was the show-stopper, celebs including Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Tusshar Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan added to the bling off the ramp as well.

Titled 'Adaayein', the line celebrated Indian craftsmanship with intricate work in emeralds, rubies and sapphires. The line also had pieces in polki and diamond mix and Farah said it was a combination that will go well with Indian as well as western outfits.

The range had an interesting mix of necklaces, chokers, bracelets, bangles, earrings and cocktail rings.

Though Farah launched her label way back in 2004 and has around 15 years of experience in this field, this is the first time she has launched her India inspired line.

"Everything has a right time and I feel the occasion of Independence Day was apt for this line. I couldn't have found a better day than this," Farah said after the show.

Asked why she chose Deepika as her show stopper, Farah said: "Well she is dusky, she is beautiful and she has sharp Indian features...so I thought she is the best as a show stopper."

Take a tip from the super svelte stars about breakfasting the right (and the celeb) way!

The breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And what you eat first thing in the morning will decide how the rest of your day goes – in terms of a healthy diet and energy levels. And no one has it busier than our stars who need to be able to move from work mode (shooting on sets) to party mode (attend events and launches) and look good right through!.

Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor makes sure she never skips breakfast irrespective of her busy schedule. She says, ““In Mumbai, my breakfast is muesli and milk or a chillah or parathas; no chai or coffee. While shooting in Ladakh I ate fresh fruit for breakfast and had pudina tea without milk and in Kerala, I had idlis and appams.”

Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor is extremely health conscious as well! On waking she has a large mug of hot water with honey and lime (perfect way to detox), followed by oatmeal and fruits, half-fried eggs and toast or idlis and poha.

Deepika Padukone
Breakfast is Deepika’s main meal! Ms Padukone says “I can’t do without breakfast. I have a huge breakfast – sometimes we have non-vegetarian, sometimes upma, idlis, dosa, parathas – whatever it is, I eat a lot of it.”
