We’re sure you’ve seen the TV commercial with the gorgeous shirtless man, in the shower, on a boat, on a horse, offering tickets “to that thing you love,” then diamonds, promoting a brand of men’s body wash. Sigh…we have too.
Seriously speaking though, more and more men are using (and admitting to) skincare products that maintain their appearance. The folks at one of the top French skincare companies, Nickel, have taken this one step further by not only creating a lavish line of products, but have used terminology that guys will understand. No longer is it a revitalizing product, it’s a Morning-After Rescue Gel, $45, that combats the effects of alcohol, tobacco and too much partying. The color is a manly blue and its power ingredients are a heady blend of menthol and caffeine. Its natural wheat-based proteins restore radiance while the biomechanical properties firm skin haggard from a hangover. Slather on and slide into that morning meeting.
Other products we like, the Nickel Super Clean Scrubbing Gel, $28, soap-free of course, that can be used quickly in the shower for regular exfoliation or in-depth cleansing by pressing the product into the skin’s thickest sections. (Try saying that to a woman.) Its ingredients of pistachio soften the skin while Jojoba Wax beads exfoliate.
And when life turns up the heat, make sure you’re armed in your underarm with Nickel Cold Sweat, $21, a water-based deodorant stick that is both alcohol and aluminum salt free, but it still keeps you dry and deodorized. Best use? Store it in the refrigerator and use it on a hot day. Cool, dude!
