How To Follow Proper Spa Etiquette

After a week’s hard work, heading to the day spa to relax and de-stress yourself seems to be a lucrative option. The therapists of the spa, along with the staff there, will help you feel renewed and free from aches and pains. However, remember to act wisely and follow spa etiquette so that the others who have gone there to get spa treatments don’t feel disturbed.

So, what are these spa etiquette? The following points may help you to decide:

1. Reach the spa at least 20 minutes before your scheduled time of appointment so that you can change your dress and relax. Going earlier may also allow you to use the sauna or steam bath.

2. You are at the spa to relax. So, don’t stress yourself by discussing your problems.

3. If you are going to the spa after an intensive work out, freshen up. Don’t go wearing a dress that’s soaked with sweat. This will help the therapist to work.

4. As exposure to chlorine for a long time is not good for the skin, wash off the chlorine after your Jacuzzi session is over.

5. Switch off your cell phone inside the spa so that you can stay away from stress and the other customers are not disturbed.

6. If you want to get the most of your spa session, show courtesy and respect to the staffs and therapists of the spa.

7. To get healed completely will take time. So, don’t criticize if your aches and pains still remain after the first session. Rather, arrange for your next appointment and be there without fail.

8. Don’t hurry after your session ends. Relax so that you get the full benefit. If you don’t rest, the healing process will be slow.

9. Show your kindness by giving your therapist a tip.

10. After your spa massage, relax, drink enough water and eat a light meal.

So, enjoy your session at the spa and also give the others a chance to have a relaxing and rejuvenating session there.
