Glowing skin begins with Aloe Fleur de Jouvence
A LOE FLEUR de Jouvence ('Flower of Youth') is claimed to be one of the most effective restorative beauty collections assembled. It is a collection of six components each designed to fill a special part in a complete regiment of facial skin care.
Combining the benefits of traditional wisdom with the scientific knowledge of modern dermatology, Forever Living Products has spared no expense in researching and developing products. Displayed in an elegant container, the collection also includes a mirror, mixing spoon and application brush. While each of the products is available separately for replacement, it is only through the combined use of all six elements that the full benefits can be enjoyed.
Each product in Aloe Fleur de Jouvence has been developed with great care and attention to the daily needs of your skin. FLP starts with pure, stabilised aloe vera gel, and combines it with nature's unique cellular substances, hydrolysed elastin and collagen, along with exceptional moisturisers, emulsifiers and humectants. This creates a unique skin care range that helps counteract the effects of time, weather and environmental elements.
The preventive and restorative Aloe Fleur de Jouvence programme provides a daily skin care regime to help promote the naturally occurring attributes of youth, vigour, freshness and radiance of the skin.
Now, pamper yourself even more with Forever Living Products Aloe Fleur de Jouvence! This summary of the entire treatment will instruct you on how to use each of the six elements.
STEP 1: Cleanse. Exfoliating Cleanser is the first step in achieving beautiful, flawless skin. Massage Exfoliating Cleanser into the face and neck area every morning and evening. Gently remove with a dampened cloth or tissue.
STEP 2: Tone. Rehydrating Toner is alcohol-free and contains aloe vera, collagen and allantoin for gentle toning. Using a cotton ball, apply rehydrating toner in an upward motion every morning and evening.
STEP 3: Moisturise (Morning). Firming Foundation Lotion is a hydrating moisturiser that helps skin retain its healthy, vibrant appearance. Gently massage lotion into the face and neck area. It also makes an excellent base for applying your favourite cosmetics.
STEP 3: Moisturise (Evening). Recovering Night Creme hydrates and soothes, replenishing your skin while you sleep. After cleansing each evening before bedtime, apply generously to face and neck area.
Aloe Facial
An Aloe Facial is recommended 2 to 3 times a week to smooth, cleanse and tighten the skin while revitalising your appearance. Aloe Activator is a superb moisturising agent and is the ideal partner to work in combination with the Facial Contour Mask Powder.

Aloe Activator is also extremely effective as a skin cleanser and freshener. Add one mixing spoon of Facial Contour Mask Powder to the mixing bowl. Combine with one mixing spoon of Aloe Activator until the mixture has the consistency of lotion. Use the applicator brush to apply a thin, even film from the neck upward. Relax in a reclining position, limiting facial movement for approximately 30 minutes. Apply a moist towel to the face to soften the mask, then gently remove remaining mask and rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and your
favourite moisturiser.

Wenter Beauty must have's

‘Tis the season of dry skin, chapped lips and static hair.
Let’s be honest, we could all use a little more vitamin D in our lives. But not all of us have the luxury of living in sunshine year round. This is Canada after all; where our Twitter feed is often flooded with traffic and weather rants. So why not concentrate on something you can control… taking care of that precious body of yours and feeling good about it! Here are some of our favourite beauty products that help make the winter months a little less blah and a little more fabulous.

Nars Blush:

Not feeling the whole pale look? Cheat it with some blush! This is our little secret to achieving that healthy glow without overdoing it like our friends in the Jersey Shore (sorry Snooki). If you normally wear bronzer in summer, consider switching to a blush for the winter months. We’re a fan of NARS blush which comes in a billion colours and lasts forever.

Clean & Clear® Deep Action Cream Cleanser

You change up your fashion and make up with the season – why not your cleanser? Switch your cleanser to a cream cleanser to give your skin the extra moisture it needs in the winter. We recommend following up with a little Clean & Clear® Dual Action Moisturizer.

Fair Trade Foot Lotion:

Whether you’re dancing it up at a Christmas party or walking in your winter boots all day, you’re tootsies need some love. Our weapon of choice comes from Lush. This minty fresh foot cream not only provides relief, but smells great too! Plus its fun pink colour will bring a smile to your face every time you open it. :)

Bag Balm:

Hands down, one of Lucky’s favourite winter items, this salve is actually designed to soothe cow’s udders. What?! But seriously, it’s a real life-saver for dry, chapped skin. Use it anywhere on your body, as lip balm, or even a cuticle treatment! Thanks for the tip Lucky!

Osis Hair Body:

Let’s be honest, as cute as hats and toques are in the winter, they cause a lot of static and frizz. We’ve discovered this amazing lightweight conditioning spray with anti-static properties so you can control your style even when the toque is on.

Kiehl’s Lip Balm:

Although it feels like Mr. Golden Sun has left our life, the truth is he’s always hanging out. So it’s important to remember SPF on those beautiful lips of yours. Whether you’re planning a New Year’s make out sesh, or simply just walking to school or work, make sure your lips are looking hot!
Got something better? Don’t hold out on us! We want to know your secret weapons or better yet, what you think of ours!

Papaya And Peach For Healthy Skin

If you are looking to find a natural product that could help to moisturize the skin and also hydrate it fully, you can use peach fruit. It acts as a natural emollient.

Peach is supposed to be used in many products of skin care. Peach softens the skin and since it is a natural product, it is much better than the over the counter skin care products. It also imparts a rich glow to the skin.

The peach is rich in minerals and it has all the necessary anti oxidants as well. It is used for all problems of the skin and for all types of topical treatments.

You can as well prepare a homemade facial mask for skin hydration purposes. This pack is used for toning and moisturizing purposes. You can use the peach to make it into a puree.

The mixture can be mixed with some lemon juice and also some ripe mashed papaya. When you have a thick rich paste of the mixture, you have to apply the same to the face and keep for some time. It can be washed off with some rose water and then left to dry.

Apart from peach another skin care natural product is the papaya. Use some ripe mashed papaya after pealing off its skin. You can then make a pulp out of the same. Some curd can be added. You can also use some drops of honey. Mix the paste thoroughly and then apply on face and all other parts of the body that remain exposed. Let dry and then wash off gently.

These are wonderful home made packs with absolutely no side effects. These are rich in anti oxidants and equally wonderful when applied to the face. This brings to the face an ethereal glow and adds that extra sheen to the skin. Natural skin care products are the best.

Some products are bottled up and labeled as natural products but these are best when home made. It is easier made straight out of kitchen. You can have it and apply it to get the required hydration and softening that works deep within. Go for it.

You would be happy at the end of the day!

Lemon For Your Skin & Hair's beauty

Sometimes we become so very oversensitive about our skin that we often forget that to take good care of the skin we do not need to burn a hole in our pocket.

Sometimes ordinary fruits and vegetables that are available cheaply in the market are quite beneficial for the skin like lemon.

It is perhaps one fruit that is consumed regularly in households directly and added as secondary tough ups in many dishes to enhance their flavour. However apart from the edible qualities lemon has also several usages for the skin. To know more read on:

To Lighten the skin:

Lemon juice has a strong astringent in it that has proven effects on the skin specially in the lightening of the skin. If the elbow region becomes darkened then mix lemon juice and sugar and rub gently over the area till the sugar granules dissolve. Repeat this thrice every week and you will see the darkness will lighten.

The lips also tend to get darker due to nicotine stains for the chain smokers. Apply lemon juice and leave it on the lips overnight and within 15 days you will see that the dark patches are lightened slowly.

For Hair:

The astringent action along with Vitamin C present in lemon juice also improve hair quality and also give shine to the hair. After washing your hair you can mix 1 part lemon juice with 10 part water and apply on the hair. D not wash and leave it. You can also mix the juice with tea liquor and after washing leave it on the hair.

For Skin:

Those of you who have oily skin and lot of pimples or want to use a natural toner can use lemon juice. You can use lemon juice mixed with your face pack and apply on the skin. You can also use grated lemon skin , on your skin for rejuvenating freshness after bath, and also before bath.

How to Get Perfect Skin

Skin Type: Oily/Acne-Prone

Spa Fix:
Get a monthly facial with extractions. This can make a world of difference for acne sufferers. Getting rid of congestion before it comes to the surface can prevent future breakouts. Exfoliation is key, but consult your skin pro on what is best for you.

Best Regimen:
Twice a day, use a mild cleanser. Overwashing and harsh astringents strip the skin and exacerbate "rebound oil." During the day, apply a mattifying SPF. Try SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 ($30). At night, use a retinoid, which will stop breakouts before they happen.

Star Product:.
if it  used at night, glycolic acid will help control oil all day. The kit starts with a glycolic-acid-soaked pad to exfoliate, followed by a soothing pad that calms skin.

How to Choose Colors to Flatter Your Skin Tone

Choose Colors to Flatter Your Skin Tone

How to Choose Colors to Flatter Your Skin Tone
An important part of choosing the right colors for your wardrobe is to pick the ones that flatter your skin tone. Below are tips on what colors to choose and which ones to stay away from.

Instructions

    Determine Your Skin Tone

  1. Decide which season most accurately describes your complexion. People - and skin tones - can be divided into "seasons," depending on their skin tone.

  2. "Winter" complexions have blue or pink undertones. Skin can be pale white, yellowish-olive, or dark. Winter people are generally brunettes, with deeply colored eyes. Many Asians and African Americans fall into this category.

  3. "Summer" complexions, like winter complexions, have blue or pink undertones. Skin is pale and pink. Summers are often natural blondes or brunettes with pale eyes.

  4. "Autumn": Autumn complexions have golden undertones. Many redheads and brunettes with golden brown eyes fall into this category.

  5. "Spring": Spring complexions have golden undertones and are usually creamy white or peach. Spring people generally have straw-colored or strawberry red hair, freckles, rosy cheeks, and blue or green eyes.

Choose Clothes to Flatter Your Skin Tone

  6.  "Winter": Winters should wear colors that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink all go well with winter complexions. For lighter colors, wear icy tones rather than pastels. Avoid subdued tones like beige, orange and gold.

  7. "Summer": Summers should choose pastels and soft neutrals with rose and blue undertones. Lavender, plum, rose-brown and soft blue suit summers well while black and orange do not.

  8. "Autumn": Autumns should select colors with golden undertones, like camel, beige, orange, gold and dark brown. Avoid colors with blue tones, like navy.

  9. "Spring": Springs can wear warm colors like camel, peach, golden yellow and golden brown. Avoid dark, dull colors.

Skin Care - What Type of Skin Do You Have?

There are five basic skin care types: Oily, combination, sensitive, dry and sun-damaged. Your skin type is determined by how much -- or how little -- oil your skin produces. Genes, diet, stress level, medication and even your skincare regimen all determine how much oil your skin produces.

Here's how to tell what skin type you have.

At first you take the "skin test." Wash your face, pat it dry, then take a few pieces of rice paper or lens-cleaning tissue paper and press on different spots on your face. If your skin is oily, the paper will stick, pick up oily spots and become translucent. If the paper doesn't stick or pick up any oily spots, your skin is dry. If it sticks in your t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) then you have combination (or normal) skin. About 70 percent of women have combination skin.
Here are the five different skin types and their characteristics.
  • Type 1: Oily Oily skin tends to shiny with enlarged pores, and is prone to blackheads and blemishes. You might experience some tightness.
  • Type 2: Combination/normal This skin type has medium pores, a smooth and even texture, good circulation, healthy color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone.
  • Type 3: Sensitive Sensitive skin tends to be thin, delicate with fine pores. It flushes easily, is prone to broken capillaries, is frequently allergic and can be rashy.
  • Type 4: Dry Dry skin feels tight, especially after cleansing. You have a tendency towards fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches. In women of color, skin may appear ashy or dull from dead skin buildup.
  • Type 5: Aging or sun-damaged This skin also feels tight with visible wrinkles, slack skin tone -- especially around the cheeks and jawline -- with leathery texture and broken capillaries.

Make your skin Shiny with Harbal products

1. Skin Blemishes: For skin blemishes, you can try rubbing a raw potato on your face.

2. Wrinkle Prevention and Softer Skin: To prevent wrinkles and soften your skin, you could try pure castor oil: it is known to slow down the aging process of the skin.

3. Skin Cleanser: All you need to do is dip a piece of cotton wool in milk and wipe your face with it. It also cleans unseen dirt and goes down into your pores. Another fine cleanser is almond oil, especially effective in protecting the delicate skin under the eyes.

4. Sun-Protection Lotion: It is summer time. Time to cool off. So let is wind up with a good home-made sun- protection lotion. Take cucumber juice and equal amounts of glycerine and rose water and make a concoction. This should be refrigerated. Try it, it?s really cool.

5. Skin Moisturizer: For normal skin care, you can take 1 cup of yogurt, 1 tablespoon orange juice and 1 tablespoon lemon juice and mix it into a paste. Apply it on your face as a mask and keep it on for 15 minutes. Then clean it off with a wet tissue watch your complexion glow. For dry skin, you could use a mixture of cooked oatmeal and honey: it will not only help moisturize the skin but also acts as a good cleansing agent.

6. Skin Conditioner: Another simple and excellent skin conditioner that can be made out of 1 tbsp. honey blended with 2 tbsp. cream [of milk]. Leave it on for a few minutes and wash it off. It works like magic.

Skin care for MEN (Shaving Problems)

Shaving is one of those things in life that you’re expected to know how to do (like taking care of a baby or balancing your checking account). There’s no instruction booklet or summer college course. Judging by the number of men out there with botched facial hair styles and bumpy, razor-burned skin, there should be. But whether you’re a whiz with a razor or bungling beginner, every guy can use a refresher on shaving basics. Here is our list of everyday shaving slip-ups, and more importantly, how to repair them.

No.1 - Barber's rash

Of all the redness and rashes that can come from taking a sharp piece of metal to the flesh, this one’s the worst. Dirty razors and towels are the culprits. Puss-filled bumps and abscesses can develop as a result of the facial hair follicle becoming infected with a strain of strep or staph. But before you go crazy with the home-remedy route, a trip to the doctor for a hearty helping of oral antibiotics is the only cure. Then again, so is a bacteria-free blade and a laundered towel.

No.2 - Uneven hair growth

Not everyone is blessed with being able to grow a full forest on the face. Some guys, no matter how hard they try, can only get as far as patchy, irregular-looking facial hair. Testosterone levels and enzymes that trigger hair growth are one part of the equation. But before you go cry in a corner, rest assured it isn’t a beard that makes the man. And unless you’re crazy enough to get a beard transplant (yes, it’s possible for a pretty price), embrace your inner baby face and keep yourself clean-shaven all the time.

No.3 - Acne

From a localized patch to all-over pizza face, shaving is no easy task when you have acne. And needless to say, taking a sharp object to irritated skin can often make matters worse. The only way to cope is with extra special care. The regular regimen applies: Preshave oil or face wash, warm water to soften the skin, and a moisturizer to soothe and protect. But having the hands of a surgeon when shaving is also critical here. Take your time when traveling on a bumpy road -- incising a zit can cause permanent damage.

No.4 - Blind spots

It can be hard enough to mow the visible vegetation, but what about those hard-to-see spots like behind your jaw? Even the nooks and crannies underneath your nose and around your mouth are cause for concern. Using a shaver with a special trimming blade like the Gillette Fusion will help you reach the tough stuff. But your biggest weapon in the war against runaway hairs is time. Spend a minute or two to cross-check your handiwork.

No.5 - Dry skin

Parched pores form a sealant on the surface of the skin. The result: flakes, redness or worse, ingrown hairs trapped underneath the dry, scaly outer layer. And while winter’s low relative humidity is the first place to point a finger, dry skin can occur throughout the year from a whole host of causes, including harsh soaps, vitamin deficiencies and sunburns. Fortunately, the fix here is fast and easy: Use an all-purpose moisturizer with SPF every day after showering for soft, supple skin (a blade’s best friend).

No.6 - Sensitive skin

Some guys are born with skin of steel; others you can’t so much as breathe on without causing a blemish to bloom. Blame it on your parents, the weather or just plain bad luck; having sensitive skin is no fun when you’re forced to lop off your beard five days a week. But all it takes is some preshave and postshave rituals to relieve even the most delicate dermal layers. A beard-softening oil, face wash or exfoliating scrub will help prepare the beard for battle. An aftershave balm in the form of a soothing cream moisturizer is the ultimate way to prevent against bumps and burns once the deed is done.

No.7 - Ingrown hairs

This little gem is arguably the most painful problem of the bunch, and naturally, one of the hardest to remedy. An ingrown hair is most commonly caused by the broken end of a hair -- typically caused from shaving -- growing sideways or curling back underneath the skin. And while your first instinct may be to go fishing with tweezers, resist temptation. Grab a hot washcloth instead, which calms the irritation and brings the hair to the surface of the skin. Then, you have a yellow light to pluck away. Topical treatments like a simple salicylic acid also work wonders to help soothe and remove.

No.8 - Razor bumps

You may think razor bumps are a superficial reaction to a razor, but this problem runs deeper. Literally. The medical term is Pseudofolliculitis barbae or PFB -- a persistent irritation that results from shaving. The problem begins when coarse, curly hair causes an inflammation in the follicle as it begins to grow following a close shave. In more extreme cases, pustules that resemble acne can develop if the area becomes infected. Stick to fragrance- and alcohol-free products, which can dry and irritate the skin. Exfoliating prior to shaving and using over-the-counter salicylic acid solutions afterward are also a good idea. Finally, when all else fails, let the beard be.

No.9 - Nicks and cuts

The last thing you want is to look like you got in a brutal brawl with your blade. Slicing and dicing can occur when your razor is too dull or alternatively, when it’s fresh out of the gate and too much pressure is being applied. As usual, make sure the blade is sharp and go easy on the handle -- it should glide effortlessly. And if the occasional cut occurs, skip the toilet paper and reach for a styptic pencil or a dab of rubbing alcohol on the skin.

No.10 - Razor burn

You know that red rash all too well. Just when you thought you were in the clear, your nemesis known as razor burn pops up two to four days after the shave, as the beard begins to grow back. Its causes are almost too numerous to name: super-sensitive skin, blunt blades, dry shaving, shaving too fast, applying too much pressure on the razor, and going against the grain. So, how do you avoid becoming a victim of shaving enemy No. 1? For starters, keep the skin moist throughout the shaving process. That means prepping with a shave oil, using a gel-based cream for the actual shaving itself and finishing up with a soothing moisturizer. Then, make sure your blade is sharp and lay off from pressing so hard. A good razor doesn’t require the extra pressure.

Brown Skin is Beautiful

It’s surprising how different ‘fairness cream’ products make girls with dark complexion look helpless, neglected and unattractive in their advertisements. To be honest, it is unfortunate how most people in our country have the same idea about dark girls. Well the truth is that this ‘idea’ is absolutely absurd. Don’t they know who Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Rihanna are? Here’s a myth-buster against the so-called “fashion-don’ts for dark girls”.
1) “Dark girls shouldn’t wear bright colours”: This one is most probably the most popular misconception. Any colour, whether bright or dark will look good on dark skin if worn and accessorised properly. Take the bright yellow jacket on ‘Umbrella’- star Rihanna for instance. Try red, purple, orange or light blue clothes and balance them out with a dim or soft toned scarf or handbag.
2) “Dark girls shouldn’t wear too much makeup”: Girls, always remember to check the colour of your foundation, concealers and eye shadows on the top of your hand before you buy them. This will help to determine whether the colour suites your skin or not. I would advice not to use silver or baby pink shadows, and to avoid coloured metallic eye shadows.
Radiant and healthy skin always looks gorgeous no matter what the complexion. It is very important to take good care of your skin and especially dark, oily skin. Oily skin is more prone to pimples which might result in marks and spots. Spots ruin the natural radiant beauty of dark skin. Cleanse a number of times during the day and never go to bed with makeup.
Ignore all those meaningless advertisement and remarks from brainless people. Be yourself, be proud of who you are, don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are not beautiful.

Facial and Skin Care

Daily skin & facial care makes us look more charming and beautiful. By following some easy tips, you can look younger and more beautiful without spending too much of extra time and money. Before beginning you skin care regime, consider your skin type, is it oily, normal, combination, dry, sensitive, or sun-damaged. After knowing your skin type, you can use products available in the market meant for your skin. However, healthy skin is something that is from within; eating healthy food and avoiding stress can help you the most in this. The four basic steps of skin and facial care are:

Cleansing

Start your skin care with cleansing. Get a cleanser that suits your skin type. Steer clear of soaps as they make your skin dry; cleansers on the other hand contain oil, surfactants and water. Cleanser helps to remove oil, dirt and makeup from your skin effectively. However, using cleanser too often can also be harmful; at times just washing your face at night is enough. In the morning, it's great to use a splash of lukewarm water to remove excess oils from your skin caused by nightly moisturizer.

Scrubbing

Scrubs are very useful for removing the top layer of dead skin cells that make your complexion dull. A gentle scrub with tiny grains is the best for all skin types, as big grains in cheap scrubs can tear your skin and can cause rather more harm than good. You can also use a half-teaspoon of sugar for scrubbing your face. Keep rubbing it until it melts away and then wipe off your face with a warm & wet cloth. Thrash of the flour can also be used for scrubbing. You can also find some good scrubs in the market.

Moisturizing

Moisturizer is a must for everyone, no matter which skin type you have. Even oily skin will benefit from moisturizers. Only the skin with acne should avoid it. Your skin will tell you that how much moisturizer is needed. If your skin is tight, it means that it needs moisture, but do not over moisturize your skin as it can cause clogged pores. You can go for any of the good quality moisturizers available in the market, but make sure that you read the information written on it as for which skin type it may be used. Olive oil can also be used to give your face required moisture, but it can only be used in winters.

Use Sun-Screen

The skin care you're doing can go waste if you don't have the habit of using sun-screen lotion. Yes, the UV Rays of the Sun adversely affect our skin, even causing skin cancer. It is important to make a protection shield on your skin while going out. Skin care is not only about doing cleansing, scrubbing and moisturizing, but it's also about maintaining. Apply sun-screen lotion daily on exposed parts of the body on daily basis to avoid tanning and other skin-related problems.

Some Other Skin-Care Tips

Along with your face, other parts of your body also need care. If your eyes look puffy or swollen, wash your face and cover your eyes with sliced potatoes or cucumbers for a few minutes. This is really effective in the morning. Clean you nails with white vinegar before applying nail polish for a smoother finish and make it last longer. Olive oil mixed with melted beeswax can serve as a great lip balm. Try all these tips suggested and get prepared for receiving bunch of compliments for your glowing & youthful skin.

Middle years skin care

Photo: Sazzad Ibne Sayed
Model: Alveera Mannaf Rahman Nita, Interior Designer
Make-up: Farzana Shakil Maveover Salon Ltd

Suddenly you wake up one day and you are 40!There are little tell-tale lines around the eyes, skin that was oily is suddenly dry, or is dull; laugh lines don't disappear even after you have stopped smiling; hands seem harder, not to mention crinklier. Grey hair has been spotted.
All hell breaks loose! Age has caught up with us and we embark on a quest to find the magic potion that will stop the passage of time and keep us young forever.
Well ...I'm not offering you the fountain of youth or the magic potion but I can tell you how to care for yourself.
There are many grandmothers who visit La Belle and I'm amazed at how good they look, how graceful and well groomed they are. And do you know what they have in common.....they have ALWAYS taken care of themselves, they have not woken up at 50 and decided to make an annual trip to the salon. They have given their looks some priority and due diligence.
So if you're touching 40 there's still time, apologise to yourself for the neglect and move ahead.
With the passage of time, skin tends to become drier and the need for moisture is greater. Therefore the products that we use need a change. The introduction of serums is imperative to the daily skincare range- simple moisturisers will not be enough at this stage.
It's important to know the role of serums, so that their benefits are appreciated.
Serums boost moisture levels very effectively as well as retain the moisture longer. They also speed up the natural repair process of the skin when used with the night cream.
The appearance of lines and wrinkles will diminish as long as we can keep skin well moisturised.
The other best friend of skin is sunscreen.
Studies show that the majority of the visible signs of premature aging are a result of environmental assaults, not the passage of time. This unavoidable exposure damages the skin cells and tissues. The ultraviolet rays of the sun are the culprits from whom we need protection.
Answer: sunscreen.
This cannot be avoided. It must be used every morning and reapplied in the afternoon, even if you are not going out of the house.
Usage of sunscreen should become a habit like brushing your teeth.
Night creams are of a richer consistency than day creams and lotions. If it does not feel rich enough, a drop or two of olive oil will do the trick. Those with an oily skin can settle for a light lotion mixed with water, since they have a god-gifted store of natural oil. The good news for them is that although they may have suffered pimples and other woes earlier but they can now turn up their noses at others because they're are not getting wrinkles anytime soon.
Cleansing skin is as important as breathing because that is exactly what skin needs to do.... breathe.
Clogged pores, caused by dirt, dust and pollution need to be addressed regularly. Abuse that skin can handle at 20 cannot be put up with at 40. It needs to be treated with a lot more respect now.
Harsh scrubs need to be tossed out of the window. Usage of bleach and harsh chemicals is to be minimal, perhaps once in two months, then too they should be of milder concoction.
Facials are a boon, twice a month if possible. The method should be correct and the products should be of quality. With salons on every street corner, you need to be careful, please visit reputable salons only. Never hesitate to inquire about the qualification of the proprietors.
Diet, needless to say, plays a great role in the general well being of a human being. A healthy balanced diet with a decent amount of exercise will lead to not only good skin and hair, but also good health.
I am very sceptical about these various new fad diets with low carbs and high protein and what not. Drastic diets are out. Losing a lot of weight will make you look haggard, so watch out. If you are on a diet, lose weight gradually and in a healthy manner.
Meanwhile, I am off to spend more time with my 50/60-year-old models of dignity and grace to collect more tips for Lifestyle.
