Womens wear Review

One key word: happy. Be it about the occasions the dresses are intended for, be it the spirit, the patterns, stripes, flower prints, be it the colour clash domination we saw on the runways, except for the most summery white, it is important to remember that fashion is about feeling good and free.

White Spectrum
A white canvas that plays with a palette. The important rendition of the season: keep the white but change the cuts and patterns to create movement.  The concept: elegance is white in summer, forget black.

Tailoring Games
In New York, London, Milan and Paris what we saw was a less rigid approach to tailoring although mixing a great deal with masculine shapes and a man’s basics.  A preference goes to pant suits.

Lace Macramé Crochet
Macramé played a big role recreating that special feeling and tying the knot with lace and crochet. A strong new trend even for accessories.  A feminine world.

Seventies Fit
Boho hippy luxury is the predicament for next summer, dungarees and tapered pants, gypsy dresses and slightly ethnic recalls.

Blooming Gardens
Flowers may be blooming by next summer, all over the runways in everywhere. Take up gardening or become your own English Rose. Key element: mixing the prints together.

Color Alert
Optimism and daring colours take over the stage with interesting mixes and interpretations. Clashing combinations and a range of tonalities that explores new predicaments.

Clash Duo
Mix two prints together and you are ok for next season. Complex prints and patterns interpreted in the same range.

Flowing Dreams
Expect to see long, flowing silhouettes as part of the mood for the 70s revival, with breezy sheers worked into easy A-line shapes.

Safari Trip
Modern, minimal silhouettes take over the snakeskin, leather, a bit tribal. Think of a new way to take adventure to a new level of smartness.

Tapered Long
Each season requires a piece that is essential without being overtly basic. Playing with lengths and shapes SS11 claims the tapered long skirts to be the new must have item. If you are feeling too fitted, take the length option and forget the tapered one: you can wear full-skirted ones, as long as you keep  it long.
